REVIEW OF DINGHY RACING 2011 Once again the dinghy classes of SCYC have had a successful year. It started rather slowly with the July Weekend Series, conclusion was that there are not enough boats down during July to make this a permament addition to the racing programme. But otherwise over 40 boats competed during the Summer. The highlight of the Summer being the fantastic work of Andy Bale, he took on the Junior Fleet, made up mainly by RS Tera's. At most opportunities he was out on the water with the youngters, all gaining with confidence & skills every outing.  The addition of dinghy pursuit races on a Friday added some extra competition to the class. The first pursuit race had 18 entries & until the last few minutes a RS Tera was leading the pack!! See below for the Trophy winners at the 2011 prize giving.
