Learn to Sail at Abersoch
South Caernarvonshire Yacht Club (SCYC), located in Abersoch, North Wales overlooks one of the most picturesque bays in the United Kingdom and sits above one of Wales’ best beaches.
Renowned for hosting high quality sailing regattas, which this year will include (to name just some) Dinghy Week, the Scorpion Nationals, the GP14 World Championship, the Laser Nationals, Keelboat Week and the RS300/RS600 Nationals, did you know that SCYC, in conjunction with Abersoch Sail Training Association (ASTA), also offers Start Sailing (RYA Stages 1-3) courses for 8 to 16 year olds and there are still a few places available for this summer.
Perhaps you have already booked for one of the regattas, maybe you are thinking of entering or possibly you are just tempted by the thought of a relaxing holiday by sea? Why not take the opportunity to enrol the kids on a sailing course and give them the opportunity to learn the basics of this great sport, improve their techniques or just have fun, while you sit back and relax on the beach or enjoy a coffee and a bite to eat in SCYC’s Cove restaurant over-looking the beautiful Cardigan Bay.
