What's on at SCYC
Its Dinghy Week 2010! The Club is buzzing with visiting yachtsmen, and the offices are alive fielding the entrants registering for their respective Classes. The Bar is alive with talk of go-faster goodies and tweaks, along with Harrys usual hospitality in ever increasing supply! Over 200 crews are hoping for a great week in true Abersoch fashion. Bring it on!
What's on Ashore
The 2010 events schedule is now published on the Events page. It follows that Harry will be hosting the usual hospitality during the Summer, with a host of fine ales & wines for your enjoyment. There is a rumour that Keelboat week will have its very own brew. Better be there!

Summer events 2010

We have two very important, large dinghy events this summer, on consecutive weeks, the 25th - 30th July - Dinghy week, and the 1st - 6th August - GP 14 National Championships,

Can you help your Club! We need help with Safety boats, and If any of you have, or know of anyone that has a suitable rib and are willing to bring it along, and use it as a safety boat for the events, please let us know!

At the moment I'm looking for about another 6 ribs for dinghy week and possibly 2 or 3 for the GP's. And of course people to crew these and the club ribs for both events!

Anyone on a rib MUST be over 16, and MUST hold a minimum of an RYA powerboat Level 2 certificate.

If any of you are interested, please get in touch with us as soon as you can.

SCYC Squibs - In a recent tribute to Malcolm Blackburn, SCYC's long standing Squib class captain, the SCYC fleet was described as "the best in the world". You have to be organised to achieve that accolade. Here's how he does it.

Calling all Class Captains - Please send me some info to include on your Web page - it can include pics, history you name it - we'll print it!
